I just brought all 5 of my pigs for checkups and she gave me lots of advice! Stop using Liquid Vitamins! capsules of vitamin C are sooo much better for them. Liquid vitamins lose their nutrition, a week after you open them! Also Zupreem piggy suggested that food is the best he has seen patients in their piggy exotic yet! And of course what we already knew tons of fruits and vegetables. Y crunchy carrot bars, honey and cakes actually suggests that they have! (In moderation of course!) She said she keeps chewing at their teeth are too big. Because mine are sick of chewing cardboard and wood all day! And Aspen is the best bedding to use, but the pine is well:) Just thought I'd share! And so do the vitamins! My pigs and capsules best! In fact, I liked both (liquid and capsules and taste better …. capsules I guess it really does depend on the bank …
Well, most of the advice is pretty good, but there few things wrong. All toys marketed gum or candy (crunchy carrot, honey, bars, etc) are horrible for their pigs. Dyes, sugars, preservatives, etc. are not healthy pigs. All you need to keep your teeth is hay and pellets. Cardboard (clean of course) is a good toy, but not a neccesity. Unlimited Hay is a neccessity and should always be available for the pig. The need for teeth and digestion. Zupreem pellets pellets are not the worst out there, but they are far of the best tr. They use corn as a filler to avoid. There are also some problems with soy and other charges Zupreem. The best pellets are pellets or hay Oxbow of Kleenmama. Fruits should only be used as a gift. Too much sugar and water content. The board of vitamin C (if the pig is not getting enough vegetables) is correct and the aspen is a great bed!
