What is the problem with getting a colon cleanse? Would it be worth the money or is it just a fad?

I heard that the average person has between 5 and 15 pounds of fecal matter builds up in your colon! (Yuck) and a colon cleanse can get rid of it. Is this true or just junk science? Also, if a colon cleansing is worth the money, do you have to go to a doctor for an event or you can buy something at a pharmacy or health food store and make the same? Thanks for any help and / or advice.

Colon cleansing is well worth it. I was skeptical the first time I tried, but believe me, you will feel much better. Doctors tend to frown on this sort of thing because it has more to do with natural medicine.
