Has anyone tried a colon cleanse?

I have been suffering from constipation for years, I've tried all the fiber supplements on the market and even prescribing various ones and nothing seems to work for me. I was on Zelnorm and it seemed to work well, but was recalled. I am now on Miralax two times a day and works a little but usually I am always sad, cramps, bloating and gas. Not long after eating I do not feel well. I was doing online research on colon cleansing, but I wanted some advice from someone who has tried one. The product I am going to try is Bowtrol.
