I want to write an ‘information’ book on something. Something new, creative, original, innovative.
What’s something YOU would like to know more about and want a book written about it?
I was thinking a food nutrition book. Like a dictionary of different foods and their nutrition content. Is that original or has it been done?
And how would I source the information? I’m not a professional doctor or anything, so i’d have to compile my information drawing from various websites and other books. would i have to cite my information even though i’m altering it? what if i decide to publish my book?
To me a nutrition book is boring and has been done a million times…..How about all the junk that’s in our food. Boxes, can, and etc have a list of ingredients and many things are words that I can’t pronounce let alone want to eat. Some of the stuff sounds more like something that should be in a chemistry set and not our food.
First thing would be to go through the food at your house or grocery store and read the labels. Then do a web search for the chemistry set type words and/or use an online dictionary. In the process of doing the research you should find web sites that will have a lot of info. And yes, you should cite your information especially if you publish your findings in a book.
