Which is more fattening?
Let’s say an apple is worth about 50 cal. And an oreo is worth around 50 cal. Isn’t the oreo suppose to be more fattening? I don’t get it I thought we can know which food is more fattening than the other by calories right? I think we should check the amount of carbs and other things right? Can you give me more information about nutrition values and anything about nutrition that you know!=P
Thx
Foods burn at different rates once they enter your body. You want to stay away from foods that burn very quickly and “spike” your blood sugar. Fat burns much more slowly than carbohydrates. Therefore carbohydrates are actually more apt to raise your blood sugar and create an environment to gain weight in the form of stored fat.
In your example, the apple has some fiber along with simple sugars that will not raise your blood sugar as much as the Oreo.
