Freelance Nutrition Writing
Posted in Health and Nutrition on 06/04/2010 10:18 am by Steven Nerenbergwhat do nutrition journalists do?
sounds like a stupid question…but…
im doing nutrition at uni and i wanna be a nutrition journalist (well i wanna be the nuritionist that works for cosmo magazine – except now i dont like cosmo so much because after reading however many of their issues i now know how to give good head to my boyfriend lol – so hopefully i can persuade elle or vogue to create a job for me lol)
anyway….all the cosmo one does is look at someones food plan over a week and critisize it. which sounds good.
but what else does it involve? i mean i know every now and then you get articals on diets etc but are they just freelance people or are there actual permanent people that work for magazines and write regular articals?
most magazines now, they have diet stuff in EVERY week. but not extensive diet stuff and just on what current celebs are dieting so they could easily be written by anyone.
if anyone has any advice or examples of nutrition journalists etc that would be great
I believe they would research the nutritional value of foods prepared in different ways, and with different ingredients, and report their findings in, or on the media they represent.
