Health And Fitness Major

I’m thinking I want to be a personal trainer. I LOVE working out and I like helping others out and encouraging, and educating them as well. But people try to tell me that personal training isn’t good as a full-time career. Any trainers out there who can tell me otherwise?
Also, I’ve just finished my first year of college majoring in health and exercise science where I was going towards becoming a physical therapist. I think I need to get my undergrad degree but I don’t think I want to be a physical therapist. What should I major in that would go great with personal training? (btw I REALLY love sports and working out and everything but I do not really like office jobs or anything normal. I’m pretty intelligent but that’s just my personality).
Any advice at all would be appreciated.
You do not need a college degree to become a personal trainer. Most Personal Trainers work tough hours and their salary is based in commission. There is generally no health insurance or benefits. Most personal trainers that I have met are there because they can’t find a job or they are going to school for something. else. PT is not for everybody but there are a lot of other careers out there. One is becoming a registered dietitian and educating others in nutrition. You can also work as a trainer on the side no matter what you decide.
