Can running give you abs (six-pack)?

I am starting running, maybe an hour a day quite hard around football pitches. I am not doing this just for muscle gain but for fitness and health. If I run an hour a day will this improve my ab muscles by itself?
Okay, so say if I do an hour running and 30 minutes of sit-ups/crunches etc a day, that should help me build fair muscle around my stomach?

Yes it will, cardio will burn the thin layer of fat on your stomach and show your abs better. Also do crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, and bicycles.

It depends on if you do resistance workouts or just regular crunches, situps..etc.

If you do resistance workouts, it will make your abs more bulkier, an example of a resistance work out for your abs is, you put a light dumbbell on your chest, put your feet under something stable like a couch, and do sit ups. If you do that, then only work abs 1 or 2 times per week.

But if you work your abs doing regular crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, bicycles, you don’ t need as much rest, so you could work your abs every other day if you did that.
