Hey. I currently weight 16st and 4 lbs (224 lbs) and pretty much none of that is muscle. I am extremely out of shape having done no real strenuous exercise for 4 years. I’ve set myself a goal of running a regional 10k race in July, 102 days from now, but due to events realistically I have around 80 days of training to go from being able to run 0.5k at a struggle to 10k.
It such a task physically possible? And what kind of training should I put in? How can I build myself up slowly? I tend to get out of breath very quickly when jogging.
Any information & advice on improving my health and fitness would be appreciated, thank you.
If you begin training, you could probably finish. It may be a slow 10k, but there is no reason you shouldn’t be able to finish. As for going from morbidly obese to average weight in 3 months, not gonna happen. It’s not healthy to loose weight that fast. Losing 2-4 pounds per week is a healthy speed to lose weight.
