I thought I heard on radio about some scheme where -if you qualify-, the NHS would pay part of your Fitness Club fee so as to allow you to maintain health?
Does anyone know how one qualifies? and what it’s called?

There are a number of Diet and Fitness Clubs franchisees that are running referral schemes in conjunction with their local Primary Care Trusts(PCT) and GP surgeries.
I think firstly, you would have to contact to GP to see if you qualify.
I do know someone who was referred. She was unfortunately, extremely overweight. This was a pilot scheme in Sutton. She has managed to lose a considerable amount of weight. This has helped her make permanent lifestyle changes. She is now eating a healthy balanced diet and taking regular exercise. Two things she had not done before. The results are amazing.
