Liver Cleansing Remedies

My mother had Stage 3 Uterine Cancer, which she had a total hysterectomy and all organs were removed in October, and she finished her last chemo on April 29th, but just this week was back in hospital for partial lower bowel obstruction and fluid build up in abdomen, especially around liver.
The good thing is they drained the fluid and the obstruction was not large, but I was wondering if all this could be a way her body is trying to rid itself of toxins from radiation and chemo. She is feeling weak, so I was wondering about any good regimens for helping her to cleanse her system and detox to get stronger and get rid of the toxins?
I already found out about Milk Thistle and Dandelion for the liver, so if any other remedies are known please share!!

The previous answer is right – don’t mess with the body! However, if you help your Mum eat sensibly, with lots of vegetables and fruit, this will be really helpful.
Many people also have aromatherapy and other massages, or reflexology. The cancer charity, Macmillan, often provides these for free for patients, and wherever you live, there are bound to be good therapists: ask your Mum’s nurse if they can recommend someone.
It takes time to recover, but you could go on to www.after-cancer.com with lots of info about the aftermath and nice therapies, products etc.that could help you Mum and make her feel special. Although with a loving family like yours I am sure she knows this.

P.S. If you do give your mother any supplements, ALWAYS ask her nurse or doctor if these are OK – to ensure they don’t react with any drugs she is on.
