Most Nutrition Lentils
Posted in Health and Nutrition on 07/02/2008 12:22 am by Steven NerenbergAdvise Please! My 2 year old won’t try new foods.?
My 2yr old daughter has never eaten any meat or vegetables since the day she’s been born, always wants the same foods, bread, peanut butter, honey, pasta, cheese, cereal, yogurt, milk, most fruits, rice, crackers, lentil soup. She is also very particular about how its served, ie: plain pasta only no sauce, box macncheese not homemade, etc. No matter how I sneak meat and veggies in, she knows it. She still breastfeeds too, so she has no growth problems but I want her to get more diversed nutrition. Advice please.
With my 2yr old, I always keep putting it on his plate with food he will eat. That way it doesn’t look so alien to him. After seeing it over and over and over…he eventually tries (and usually rejects) it. Sometimes after rejecting a food a million times he’ll really shock me and eat some of it! Just keep offering, and waiting and being patient.
