Food items daily diet?
I'm about to graduate from high school and I really want to specialize in nutrition / diet. I start reading nutrition articles and health articles that deal with such things. Can anyone help me find web sites that do not lie celebrant and help me learn more and food and diet today?
Very difficult – the food industries, dairy industries as meat and do their own research bias, and really has a great influence even on the information given by governments. For example I Government guidelines and diet can be written in a biased way. The way in which certain foods can group by one standard, and make other options seem less potentially healthy because the balance of nutrients is not the same as their chosen "standard". Always look at the reports sponsored or funded by example, and taken with a grain salt. Maybe read the WHO and FAO "vitamin and mineral requirements in human nutrition" (World Health Organization and Food and Agriculture United Nations), which should be available online searching. Another good book I read is "The China Study" by Dr. T. Colin Campbell. Try the American Dietetic Association, I had a good look at their website but are an important nutrition organization in the U.S..
