Nutrition Assistance Programs

Fafsa emergency question! Where do you find out on your tax forms for…?
1. Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
2. Food Stamps
3. Free or Reduced Price Lunch
4. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
5. Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
These things won’t likely be on your tax forms. Best to ask your parents if you or they receive any of these things. All are associated with being very low income, if that helps. If you or your folks don’t know what they are, you likely aren’t receiving them.
Layman’s terms:
Do you or your siblings get free lunch in school? Food stamps and TANF (welfare benefits from local DHS office)?
Are you or your parents disabled and get suplemental social security (SSI)? WIC is free food like cheese, milk, for low income people with young children.
Hope it helps.
