What to feed when baby turns 12 months?

I am wondering what to feed a baby when they turn 1 year. Everything has said that up to 12 months solids are pretty much just for fun, and that formula or breast milk should be the child’s main source of food. So what happens when they turn 1 year – all of a sudden solids are not for fun anymore? I wonder because my son isn’t really into food yet. He eats baby food but refuses to eat solids that he has to chew (which is crazy b/c he has 6 teeth). I want to be sure he is getting enough nutrition, so if anyone can help that would be great. The books don’t tell you how to transition, and that’s what I need help with. Thanks.

My son was the same way, hes came around and is 17 months now. If you can’t get him to eat foods, continue with the baby food, stage 3 or 4 is the best for that age. But, my son likes green beans and mac and chesse the best. Anything now that he can pick up and put in his mouth, but by all means he has to do it himself. He will also eat beefaroni, mashed potatoes. etc. pretty much until I could get him to eat food, I gave him what he would eat, anything becuase he had to eat.
