Nutrition Claims Example
Posted in Health and Nutrition on 03/24/2010 03:29 am by Steven NerenbergHow often do you think people lie about veterinary experience in this forum?
I have conducted extensive research before I adopted my cats and consider myself to know more than the average person about nutrition, behavior, etc. But I never would claim to be a vet simply to give myself more credibility.
For example, would a vet EVER say this?
“cats do have emintons and they love to have little kittes! I dont know what she is talking about because i am a vet and work with animals everyday . If you can look after cats go for it! dont let people say you cant have what you want! If you want to bread your little cat do it!
all the best wishes! ”
The very people who deal with cancer in cats, STDs, infections, unwanted litters?
Does it ever frustrate the ACTUAL vets who come on here?
Aqua, I’m sorry you interpreted a single yahoo question as getting “riled up” over it. Nice tangent, regardless.
Yeah, it’s real frustrating. I’m not a vet, but I’m concerned that people might actually believe what they say. I saw the one you’re talking about and reported her. All you had to do was look at her Q&A to tell she’s not a vet. She even had a question about her cat having worms and taking him to the vet. Always report those kind of answers when you see them.
