Nutrition Coaching

Nutrition question………?

Night before my son’s HS cross country match. Coach said pasta – like lasagne – is better than pizza.

Aren’t they pretty much equivilant when it comes to nutrition?

I’ve made both from scratch and the ingredients are pretty similar.

Am I missing something? WHere can I get more info on this?

Thanks!
Thanks for replying. I agree with you both.

I still fail to see how lasagne is healthier than pizza.

Until that Barilla (yellow box) pasta came along, I hated all the “healthy” pastas. Now I use it for everything!

But I still think this coach (who’s also a science teacher) is giving out misleading information.

pasta, especially whole grain has much more carbs and less fat than pizza.
