If you were going to be stranded in a desert island… What 10 foods should you choose for maximum health?
I am trying to understand some basic nutrition concepts. Here’s a thought experiment:
If you were going to be stranded in a desert island for several years and could only take 10 foods with you, what foods would you choose for maximum health at the end of that period?
Imagine that you have a Star Trek style replication machine that can produce foods in unlimited quantities, but you only have room for 10 “programs”.
Note, a “cow” is not a food. So if you say meat and milk, that would count as two foods.
Also, vitamin supplements and artificial mixed foods like breakfast cereals are not allowed.
chicken
fish
milk
whole grain bread
kale
carrots
garlic
potatoes
oranges
apples
water
if water counts as a food, leave out the fish.
i’ll catch that myself (-:
