Nutrition Flounder Fish

eating healthy, is there anything I should eat less of, add or cut out?

I am a vegitarian but am decideing to eat fish again. What fish is good, is Flounder and crab good? is whole wheat brown rice with black and or chick peas good? regualr vegetables? what fruits are good? any nutrition advice, I want to get a lot of protien in since I get like none I think I should cut cheese out completely, I drink soy milk with my special K ceral. I want to eat stuff that won’t make me gain weight in my stomach cuz I know breads and simple carbohydrates do that. so what do I eat and what do I stay away from. I know to eat in moderation.so what’s best for me I want the most sexy healthy body I can achieve, but have it soft yet toned.

Keep all carbs complex carbs they keep your blood sugar on a more even keel. Whole grains are good. Any fresh fruit and vegetable is always good for you. Dark green leafy veggies are good for keeping your iron level up (something some of us vegetarians sometimes have trouble with)

If you want to eat dairy stick to things like organic low fat yogurts, mix in some fruit then you get protein and the benefits of the live cultures and calcium in the yogurts, the vitamins in the fruits etc.

eat as much raw/fresh as you can as canning and overcooking foods depletes them nutritionally.

Organic foods are best because they don’t have all the pesticides and chemicals and crap. Particularly with dairy products go for organics so you aren’t getting hormones and antibiotics leaching into you from your food.

Some veggies like avacados are high in fat , but the good fats that your body needs! So eat these in moderation but do still eat them :) . Bananas are also high in calories but SO good for you. don’t let a foods calorie or fat content determine if you eat it or not. Research your foods here is a GREAT website to do that totally free of charge. They grade foods and you can put in your own recipes and foods and they grade them for you too , it’s really cool :)

If you tend to hold weight in the belly area (I do as well) work to cut out refined and packaged foods. Things like white sugar and flours are bad what we don’t burn off is converted and stored as fat and that’s where it tends to stick. Eat as much fresh or homemade as possible and avoid all fast foods like the plague.
