My kids won’t eat fruit. Are they still getting their nutrition from fruit juice?
I always buy 100% and dilute it with water, as we find it too sweet.
Are my kids still getting valuable vitamins and fruit servings?
They also take a multivitamin daily. The only fruit they will eat is apples…Do you have any tips or suggestions for getting them to try, and like, different fruits?
The best way to get nutrients from fruits is to eat them, but if your kids are drinking 100% juice and taking multivitamins, that’s the next-best thing.
It’s good that they’ll eat apples because apples are one of the best fruits anyone can eat. The only thing you can do about getting them to try other fruit is to buy fruit that you’ll eat and invite them to try it. Encourage them to try new things but if they’re being stubborn about it, don’t push the issue. You’re much better off letting them make their own decisions at this point as opposed to forcing them to try stuff. Once my daughter decided that she didn’t like something (even if it was something she had never tried before) her mind was made up. Chances are your kids will want to try more things as they grow older.
