the more you sleep the more change of growing?
Lets just think of this way like this:
You get 6-7 hours of sleep for a day: You grow 1 inches
You get 8-10 hours of sleep for a day: You grow 2 inches
Im worried because I only slept for like 6-7 hours of sleep when I was growing. Does it make a difference from sleeping less or sleeping more? My parents say sleeping is all about genetics and nutrition. But they admit that you grow while your sleeping.
Yes, it does. Almost all of the growth hormones your body needs to grow properly are only secreted during sleep – therefore, if you do not get enough sleep, your height and healthy growth will be negatively affected. Also, sleeping in darkness is better for you than sleeping in light as light will also inhibit your body from producing sufficient growth hormones (a little night light is OK, as long as it is not too bright and is not shining on you).
It is also important to get a lot of exercise (exercise also stimulates growth) and plenty of good nutrition.
Although sometimes it could be genetics.
