Sandwich nutrition-good balance……………..?
I was wondering, do these sandwiches have a good balance of fruit, veggies, protein, etc…?
(whole wheat whit bread on all)
-Turkey, lettuce, green apple slices, mustard
-Chicken, spinach, mustard
-Ham, lettuce, tomato, mustard (I do like mustard)
-Peanut butter, bananas, jelly on a hot dog bun
-Grilled Chicken, tomato, lettuce, spicy honey mustard sauce
-Wensleydale cheese with cranberries, green pear, and honey
-Roast beef, spinach
If you have any sandwich ideas, please leave an answer!!!
They do have a good nutrition/good balance.
Here are some more tips:
-when you have sandwiches like the roast beef and spinach or any other sandwich that doesn’t have fruit, have an apple, a fruit salad or something of that sort on the side.
- when you have sandwiches like the peanut butter, bananas, jelly or any other that doesn’t have vegetables, have a salad, veggies and dip or something of the sort on the side.
-also remember that to keep a well-rounded diet you should have different kinds of fruits, different kinds of proteins. You are doing that with the fruits and vegetables but so much with proteins; change it up a bit, try fish, beans, tofu.
here are some of my sandwich ideas with different kinds of proteins
-Cream Cheese, Salmon, capers on a bagel
-Grilled tofu, lettuce, tomato and mustard on whole wheat bread
-Peanut butter, bananas and honey on a tortilla (with bean salad on the side)
