Half marathon training plan/programme?
Ok here’s the script:
Over the last few months i have let myself get extremely out of shape. I have a body fat percentage of around 22% and can run a maximum of 3 miles in half an hour.
I have agreed to take part in a half marathon to get back in shape that is in 11 weeks time (as of yesterday). I am aware that this is a tall order and to make matters worse i am aiming for a time of 1 hour 45 minutes. ( I am aware that this will be extremely difficult but i am very dedicated and have a very competitive streak in me)
Any proposals for training programmes, nutrition and another other useful information would be most welcome. And if possible i would like to loose little or no muscle in the training process (i am aware that this will be a tall order)

I have ran several half marathons with a PB of 1 h 25m I didnt stick to a plan or programme, i never have and my PB for a marathon is 3h 18m the priority is get out there and run take it easy a first but gradually build up distances, make sure you have proper shoes clothing but again dont be like a gadget freak and buy the most expensive. Would also recommend not drinking too much alcohol over your training, make sure that you eat several hours prior to any run, and cut down on the gadgets i pods, mp3, sunglasses, hats, water bottles(for a half marathon your traing runs should be approx 1h 30m, is not some extreme desert run of 50 miles) these things are a nuisance. Anyway good luck and above all enjoy the running
