equine nutrition?

This question is more for my edification than anything else, what kind of food there? I know that's a question very heavy, so I will ask for a link to a website with clear, organized on the horse feed. Do not know much about hay, or except that the alfalfa energizes horse and should not be given to a horse that worked only lightly. I have really wanted to learn about the different channels of pellets, the grains, that sort of thing.
