The Elderly Nutrition Program oversees collective meals provided in community centers (places where elders can meet and share a meal that is designed to meet 1 / 3 of the RDA for the elderly), and the Meals on Wheels program, offering food to the house of a person once a day. All people aged 60 or older are eligible for these programs, regardless of income, although priority is given to those who are economically disadvantaged.
TRUTH! Meals On Wheels is based on need: social health, economic. The goal is for life independent elderly population. There are eligibility requirements. The federal government subsidized meal programs for seniors, but there are state / country / citizenship requirements (some financial) to be met. Good luck!
