I was recently diagnosed with PTSD My time in Afghanistan and I really need to start eating foods that I get the vitamins and minerals I need because I feel like I help my mental exponentially. You do not need to lose weight I have only just begun to get adequate nutrition and multivitamins do not cut it. (PS If I prescribe a pill more than I to turn what drugs are out lol)
Fruits are a good source of vitamins, such as nuts and beans. However, I think you'll like some vegetables if you find a way to prepare that tastes good to them. The thing is there are plenty of ways to prepare a lot of different vegetables (at vs. Raw vs. steamed fried, seasoned with salt, pepper and butter, fried with soy sauce, topped with cheese, etc.). There are many options and I think if you experiment a bit you can find some you like. I was the same way I would not eat vegetables, but I realized that if you prepare in a way that he actually liked the vegetables – the trick is to find what works for you. You can find out what foods are good sources of vitamins that here too: http://www.whfoods.com/nutrientstoc.php (there are some alternatives the vegetables for example, between fish and shellfish and other foods).
