Nutrition Quinoa Grain

pooping out quinoa? odd?
-As a vegetarian, I love Quinoa. The problem is though, everytime I eat it It my poop that days and a couple days later has the grains in it. besides being kind o weird looking, I was wondering if this is normal? is there a reason why I’m not digesting the quinoa? am I getting nutrition from it still?
When Quinoa is fully cooked it absorbs so much water that it breaks out of it’s fiber covering. It’s a very thin layer of non digestible fiber- which is actually very good for your digestion.
You may not be cooking the quinoa properly. Try 1-2water ratio, simmer for 15 minutes. All the water should be absorbed. Try a Bolivian quinoa like alter eco, bobs red mill, Eden foods or eartly delights. If all this does not work try using flaked quinoa. Quinoa should be easy to digest.
Finally lightly pre-toasting the sees makes it absorb more water.
