Nutrition Russet Potatoes
Posted in Health and Nutrition on 05/17/2011 05:35 pm by Steven NerenbergAre these frozen potatoes healthy?
Russet Potatoes, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil and/or Canola Oil and/or Safflower Oil, Sea Salt, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Dextrose, Garlic Powder, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Marjoram, Thyme, Natural Rosemary Flavor
yes there is dextrose but on the nutrition facts it says it has like 1gram of sugar per serving
Potatos basically turn into sugar (more than the 1 gram listed) when they are eaten. Yours have a lot of oil ? WHy . Russets are supposed to be okay to eat , better than straight white but sweet potato with no sugar is better for the glycemic index. Drink a little oj with it to absorb nurition better and iron if youre going to eat them.
EDIT: Sorry I meant that red potatos would be better than russet. Sorry got confused.
