Is the plan of grapefruit diet really the best way to lose weight and burn fat – does anyone have knowledge of nutrition?
Trying to figure out if the plan grapefruit diet is good. The Mayo Clinic egg grapefruit diet is another. To be honest, diets do not work fullstop. The dieters can lose weight, they will realize that they will win back again having left the diet – and probably more on top. The key to successful weight loss is a healthy balance of foods (usually recommend 6 small meals a day, with a good amount of protein, carbohydrates and fats present – most people should aim for about 1 g of protein per pound of body weight to maintain muscle mass). To lose weight you need to create a calorie deficit – which will be a deficit of 3,500 calories to burn one pound of body fat. That's about 500 calories a day. I would suggest trying to reduce their calorie intake by 250 calories a day, and increase their levels exercise to burn off the extra. You should be able to lose about healthy 1-2 pounds of fat a week. Maybe a little more if you are too fat. More than anything it it burns muscle and water instead of fat. (Remember that your body is built to survive, do not look good. If you starve your body to hold on to body fat as a better source of energy and help you survive longer. Muscle is 4 calroies to burn 1 gram of fat has nine calories – therefore its more than two sometimes easier for your body to burn muscle and fat that is).
