19 year old girl new to weight lifting or any kind of exercise?

Hi, Hope someone can help me with this one. I’ve never been an active girl, not even when I was a kid and even though I want to loose a little weight (I’m 145 lbs, 5’6 f); I first want to become fit. I’ve started this really cool running program called “Couch to 5K” and during the break days I’m lifitng (very lightly) weights. I usually do bench press w/ free weights, machine squads and leg lifitng? I just wanted to know if these exercises are good enough to get me fit. That and a good nutrition. Thanks
