Making a board game, any ideas?

I'm making a board game for kids River Refuge House. (It is for battered women and children) that I have to talk about nutrition and incorporate that into the game somehow, but I'm really confused .. I do not think I should do trivia about that because I do not know if children know the answers .. and really want to make a big game for them. please help!

How's about a simple act of collecting board cards to read about nutrition. You could make a "Mario Party" game type and have to go around collecting coins and games chance to earn more, to help them buy food for the characters. Food can have things like the amount of calories and not attached. Good luck!
