Nutrition Uc Berkeley

workload at berkeley?

okay so i have 2 days to decide whether to go to UC Davis or UC Berkeley.. ahh! i’m thinking of majoring in nutrition, but that could perhaps change to another health-related major. the main thing that is keeping me back from Cal is the intensity of the classes and the competitiveness of the pre-med students…is it really hard to get good grades at cal? how hard are the classes? how much time do you have to spend studying? any information would be very helpful thanks

Wow……. congrats on your acceptance to both universities. I would choose Cal over any other UC school, but considering the fact that you’re going to be a major in one of the biological science fields, I’m going to be more cautious about this. It’s not VERY hard to get good grades, but it’s fairly hard. This is especially true in majors such as Molecular and Cell Biology, but I’m going to assume you’re not interesting in that. Time spent studying and difficulty of classes vary greatly. Nutrition isn’t an “easy” major, but you shouldn’t expect it to be a killer.

Let me tell you this, ALMOST NOTHING is as hard as being an EECS, Nuclear Engineering or Chem Engineering major at Cal.
