Hi all, I've been accepted into 4 UC's-Irvine, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Davis …?
I'm having trouble deciding where I want go. Davis I am very encouraging, since it is the only one offered by the University of California Nutriton Science and Biology major exercise. I know that after college who want to pursue a career in sports medicine or sports nutrition. I understand UCSD is a fantastic and very presitigious university, and they said its a great honor to be accepted. However, a majority of their specialties focus on physics, engineering, mathematics and computer science. Not exactly my cup of tea. So if I rejected that offer and went to Davis, not exactly at the top, it would be foolish DECISION? I am a native of San Diego and it would be ahuge transition for me. How Davis academic rank? What about life on campus? I would appreciate the oppinions!
Err, SD is ranked higher than Davis, but it's not a huge leap into reality. If you like Davis much better and has the best want the DS does not, go there. SD is one additional high, but it is a further increase. Berkeley and UCLA win SD by the same amount that exceeds SD Davis so it's not like SD is the best thing since sliced bread. Davis will a huge transition for you. In my opinion, nowhere in the entire U.S. (Including Hawaii and Puerto Rico) have a pleasant climate like San Diego. Davis is this small town 110 + cow that in the summer and below 30 in winter. You can have fun in both places though. Since you're from SD, you'll do much better than others cuz you have friends and other things outside of school. Frankly, I found the University of California San Diego much more boring that Davis, despite being in a city far UCSD better.
