Which bar is better for you?
Think Thin Bars:
# Gluten Free
# 20g Protein
# 0g Sugar
# No Cholesterol
# Fortified with 18 Essential
Vitamins & Minerals
Luna Bars have 10g of protein
# Good source of protein and Omega 3; high in fiber, calcium, and vitamin D
# Made from all-natural, certified kosher ingredients; contains heritage whole grains–amaranth and quinoa
# 100% free of hydrogenated oils, wheat, dairy, and trans fat; a portion of the proceeds is donated to the Breast Cancer Fund
# Nutrition-packed bar made from 70% organic ingredients
I like that thin thin has more protein but it also costs more.
I’m inclined to vote for the Luna Bar. Think Thin does have more protein, but you only need around 45g per day and you should be getting plenty from other dietary sources, like meats and beans.
I’ve found Luna Bars to be better-tasting and faster-digesting because they are all natural and don’t have a lot of salts and preservatives like some bars do. The amaranth and quinoa are excellent sources of energy that won’t cause a glucose or insulin spike, and most vitamins in Luna Bars occur naturally, rather than having to be artificially fortified.
