Nutrition Yeast Flakes

Vegans and vegetarians, do you use nutritional yeast powder OR flakes?

I have bought and tried both and want to make sure that I am using something with B12 in it. I think I have a personal taste preference between the two and will probably continue putting the powder rather than flakes on something like popcorn. Are there specific reasons to use one over the other–especially to try to get the best nutrition and a cheesy taste?

The powder is better on popcorn, but I like the flakes for almost everything else.
