Pitbull Nutrition Dogs

How can I make sure my pitbulls don’t get too big but still very healthy?

this is kinda a funny question. I have two pitbull puppies, both are females and have a feeilin may be pretty big based off their parents. But I’m not really looking at wanting them to be huge or muscaluar beasts lol. I understand these dogs are naturally lime this, just don’t want to make them bigger than they naturally can be. God I’m afraid they may break 80lbs. I’ve owned pitbulls before (all I’ve ever owned) just seems these two girl will be bigger then he others I have had. How can I make sure they have plenty of
nutrition but also make sure They don’t add lots of extra mass and muscle. Like I curently feed innova and 30% raw. Prob their protein intake right now is bout 28%-33%. Should I ge them a low protein diet like 18-23% instead?? I just don’t want them to be all massively huge and scary to other people. My othr pits n the past I have had were 2 year old rescues or so, so I had an idea f their sizes. Thanks!

A true american pit bull terrier (no such breed as “pit bull”) is not suppose to exceed 65 pounds or so. Anything much over is most likely not a true APBT.

The dogs are going to get the size they are going to get. Feed them healthy (which it sounds like you are) and exercise them. If you had got these dogs from a reputable breeder they would be the size they are suppose to be. Your just going to have to wait to see how they grow up. Even lean dogs can still have a big structure there is no changing that. Genetics are genetics and you can’t change that.
